Nomuntu Ndhlovu identified a gap in the market and, with the help of Awethu, was able to get her company off the ground.
Property Investment Fund (PIF) helps people who earn average incomes to invest in properties.
Nomuntu first came to Awethu with the need to formalise her business and get her finances in order. PIF is still a work in progress but now Nomuntu can confidently say that she has a solid plan, a formalised business and shareholder agreements.
Of course, getting her company off the ground was no small feat. It required determination, effort and a ‘never give up’ attitude.
“I had thrown in the towel but I recently talked to my coach and I am back in the game - more focused than before. I still require more funding so the business plan summary will be revised and reused.” – says Nomuntu.
While she’s managed to push through some rough patches, Nomuntu knows the path forward will present new challenges. But with a bit more experience under her belt, she’s ready to tackle them as they come.
“It’s much easier to quit and work for someone. But with the right coaching and support, you can make your dream come true.”
Together with her coach, Nomuntu is working on a new strategy to raise the money she needs for PIF’s first building.
If you’re an aspiring entrepreneur or small business owner, Nomuntu recommends taking advantage of the opportunities that Awethu provides.
She has one last piece of advice to share: “Start with what you have and ask for help when you need it. Do your research at all times and know your numbers.”
